In order to bind a coffee capsule and its lid, it is necessary to find a weadable, porous and compostable material which is able to seal the two materials.
Technical constraints
The material that joins the two parts of the capsule must meet a number of criteria. The polymer must :

- Fullfil all the guarantees of Direct Food Contact
- Be industrially compostable
- Ensure perfect weldability
- Be barriers to roasted coffee seeds
- Be water permeable
